A closer look at digital blackjack

The table-game listings at Winbay online casino include digital blackjack from BGaming. These games put you against an automated dealer: build a hand closer to 21 than the dealer’s without going over. The four featured versions vary in how many hands you can play and which extra options they offer.

Cards are dealt on screen using a random number generator (RNG), with decisions made through the game controls. You start a new round when you are ready, then follow the prompts for each hand. For streamed tables with a human dealer, explore our live casino games guide.

The hand count refers to the main betting positions available at the start of a round. Splitting a pair can create another hand later. Each occupied position needs its own wager.

From a traditional green table to more animated presentations, these digital games offer different ways to organise a blackjack round. Open “Features and rules” for the details that distinguish each version.

BGaming

Classic Multihand Blackjack

Up to 3 hands · Optional Hints

A traditional green-table presentation with an optional guidance feature for opening-hand decisions.

Features and rules

Hints can suggest hit, stand or split while a hand has two cards. They do not include double-down advice, so the prompt does not cover every possible decision.

Rebet repeats the previous wager setup. Check the active positions and total before starting another round.

BGaming

Multihand Blackjack

Up to 3 hands · Rebet

A digital table with card and chip animations, background music and a control for repeating the previous bets.

Features and rules

BGaming’s description permits doubling when the first two cards total 9, 10 or 11. Doubling adds an equal stake and gives that hand one final card.

An opening pair of equal-rank cards can be split into two hands. Each hand is then played against the dealer under the game’s splitting rules.

BGaming

Surrender Multihand Blackjack

Up to 3 hands · Surrender option

A version with an extra opening-hand decision, plus optional 21+3 and Perfect Pair side bets.

Features and rules

Surrender must be the first action on that hand. It is unavailable after hitting, standing, splitting or doubling. Half the wager is returned only after the dealer’s blackjack check; a dealer blackjack ends the round.

The game also offers Hints and a Rebet control. Side bets have separate stakes and paytables, so review them alongside the main hand.

BGaming

Multihand Blackjack Pro 2

Up to 5 hands · Side bets per position

A five-position layout that lets you set different main stakes and add optional bets to individual hands.

Features and rules

Each main hand can carry 21+3 and Perfect Pair wagers. Their results are assessed separately from the final comparison with the dealer’s hand.

Hints cover selected two-card decisions, while Turbo changes the presentation speed. Neither adds a guarantee about the outcome of a round.

How to play digital blackjack

Number cards count at face value; jacks, queens and kings count as 10. An ace counts as 1 or 11. An initial ace with a ten-value card is a natural blackjack. Going over 21 is a bust.

  1. Open the exact variant and read its rules

Check the title, chip values, betting limits and blackjack payout. Look at the available decisions before dealing, especially the conditions for doubling, splitting or surrender.

  2. Choose the hands and check the total stake

Place a wager on each position you want to use. Three hands at two units each commit six units before side bets. Splitting or doubling later adds to that amount.

  3. Deal and read the opening cards

Start the round, then check your total and the dealer’s face-up card. In multihand play, follow the highlighted position so that you know which hand a button will affect.

  4. Make the available decisions

Use the controls offered for that hand. A completed or busted hand needs no further decision; continue through the remaining active positions until the dealer finishes the round.

  5. Review the result before the next round

A hand that has not busted wins if its total beats the dealer’s or the dealer busts. A tied hand usually produces a push, returning its stake under the game’s rules. Check side-bet results separately and review repeated wagers before using Rebet.

Hit, stand, split and other decisions

The buttons available depend on the cards, earlier decisions and the selected variant. These are the main actions you will encounter.

Hit

Take another card. You can continue only while the hand remains eligible for another decision; a total above 21 busts.

Stand

Keep the current total and take no more cards on that hand. Its result is then compared with the dealer’s completed hand.

Double

Add a stake equal to the original wager, receive one more card and finish the hand. Eligible starting totals and doubling after a split vary by rule set.

Split

Separate an eligible pair into two hands, adding an equal wager for the second hand. Restrictions may apply to split aces and further splits.

Surrender

Where offered, end an eligible opening hand and recover half its wager. The game’s timing and dealer-blackjack conditions still apply.

Insurance

A separate optional wager on the dealer having blackjack, offered against a dealer ace. It has its own cost and settlement, separate from the main hand.

What changes between blackjack variants?

A familiar table layout can hide meaningful differences. Read these parts of the game’s own rules when comparing versions.

Blackjack payouts and pushes

Check the payout for a natural blackjack and how ties settle. A 3:2 blackjack payout means a profit of 15 units on a 10-unit stake, plus the returned stake; that is a ratio example, not a confirmed Winbay payout.

The dealer’s drawing rule

The dealer follows fixed rules. Check whether it hits or stands on soft 17, a total that includes an ace counted as 11. That instruction can differ from the action available to your own hand.

Doubling and splitting limits

Look for eligible doubling totals, whether doubling after a split is allowed, and restrictions on split aces or resplitting. An ace with a ten-value card after a split may count as ordinary 21 rather than natural blackjack.

21+3 and Perfect Pair

21+3 uses your opening two cards and the dealer’s up-card to form specified poker combinations. Perfect Pair evaluates your opening pair. Each is an additional wager with its own paytable and can settle differently from the main hand.

RTP and house edge: return to player is a theoretical long-run measure tied to a rule set and playing assumptions. House edge is the remaining percentage under those same assumptions. Neither predicts one session. A main-game figure should not be applied to optional side bets; check the information shown in the version you open.

Demo play and mobile controls

Use a demo to learn the interface

BGaming provides demo versions of these titles. Where a demo is available, virtual credits let you inspect controls and follow a round without a real-money wager. Demo results do not establish future returns or confirm that the same mode is accessible through every operator account.

Keep the active hand in view

The provider describes these games as mobile-compatible. On a smaller screen, check the highlighted hand, chip amount and total wager before tapping. Use the orientation that keeps all controls readable, and locate the rules and sound settings before dealing.

If a round is interrupted, check its status and your game history before placing another wager. Record the exact title and round reference if you need help with a game issue.

Table games: common questions

Does playing more hands improve each hand’s odds?

Adding positions does not improve the cards already dealt to a hand. It adds separate wagers, each settled against the dealer, and increases the amount committed to the round.

Do hints guarantee a win?

No. Hints are optional guidance for selected decisions, and their coverage is limited. The rules remain the reference for available actions; no prompt guarantees that a hand will win.

Does blackjack count towards bonus wagering?

That depends on the promotion. Table games may have a different contribution rate or be excluded. Check eligible games, contribution percentages and maximum-bet conditions in the bonus terms guide before relying on a game’s contribution.
